Hainan HNA Resort (Also known as Kangle Garden)
The Hainan Airline company had picked Xin Long (1 hour 15 mins from Sanya) as a based of this huge Golf & Resort project due to the general temperature is lower than Sanya. At the mean time, they have this HNA Resort Kangle Garden which won the "Best 10 China Resort", their three golf clubs - Kangle Spa & Golf Club, Sun River Golf Club are open for visitors while the Rubber Tree Golf Club serve members only.
Kangle Spa & Golf Club - This course is built inside a valley with mature scenery, consisted of doglegs fairways, island green, elevation, and the most interesting are these twin fairways design, you can choose either conservative or aggressive route which suits your skill level. The conditions is outstanding if not perfect.
Believe the management had done a lot of work to enhanced the course and successfully turned it from B to an A grade course. Course layout is interesting & reasonable, choose the right tee and you will enjoy it.
Take a look of these Coconut trees, I thought it is for decoration but I'm wrong, its the way to make the young coconut grows. : )
Sun River Golf Club - Front nine is relatively flat, wide fairways, large greens, quite generous, but warn you, this is a trap ! Once you turn to back nine, you need to be very concentrate, a lot of elevation, long carry over water and creek, lot of bunkers and water in play, tight fairways, small greens, blind shots, you name it, they have it. Having said that, thanks to the designer's effort and good arrangement to make this memorable and enjoyable game. Overall, the difficulty is just about right for leisure golfers but it could be worser when the wind roar. The course conditions is well above average and the design is interesting and full of surprises.
The Resort which has been opened for a long while, and unlike those new and elegant resorts , it still maintain a very reasonably good standard with plenty of facilities, a lovely place for a short break. One more thing is that, there are more mid size restaurants and massage parlour than before at the town which is located 10 mins away from the club
