Introduction

Been 4 years since my last visit.
Surprisely, the travelling time is shortened to 40 minutes from Huanggang (Used to be an hour). Not only faster, with these highways, it is less bumpy which means a lot comfortable travelling.

Club facilities & Service
Service was reasonably good but the club's facilities are very basic, a small cafe ( but with excellent Taiwanese food, coffee is damn good too!) and a tiny pro-shop ( but this is a 18 holes course after all & we came to play golf so it didn't really bother us). Recently, they have enlarged and renovated the male locker room. Not sure about the ladies.

Maintenance Of fairways & Greens

Great to see it is back to track again(It was terrible at my last visit), though not tip top, it is now playable and more than acceptable.
Especially the greens.

The landscaping is nicely decorated with flower beds.

Course Design

The blue tee is 6,512 yards.... fairly long in China's standard but fairways are well mixed with short & long fairways, the doglegs are interesting to play on & rewarding if you can cut corners. The back 9s are definitely harder, wetter, longer & tighter than the front 9
which is built around the hill side with plenty of trees & flower beds.

To score well here, you'll need to drive the tee shots accurately & long as most landing area are tight with traps or O.B, once you land safely on the fairways, the second or approach will be relatively easier.

Acceptable.

My rating

The club house is small with limited facilities and the ladies changing room is tiny (so I was told by our lady members) - but who cares, we come to golf, right?

This is one of my favorite course, I love playing here due to it's interesting designe and location.
Hope the new management keep up the good work.
