North Course Review

Course design Scorecard
A word of caution here, this is a tough, tough course to play as well as to walk due to its rolling terrain and slopes between each tee, if you are used to the comfort of an E. cart, the walk along can be very exhausting especially during the heat of summer, always bring adequate amount of drinks and or  get a caddy by booking early. Push or pull? trolleys are provided free of charge but you have to pay extra for electric powered trolley and they are not much help & difficult to control, ill-prepared players making early exit back to the clubhouse is a common site here.

This is not a particularly long course but surely is the hardest I have played and for average weekend golfers, the toughness is twofold both psychical due to its  sloppy terrain and mental as it often demands long & accurate tee shots with tight landing area (i.e.#12 par 5 & #15 par 4),  the #3 & 14 par 3s are as intimating and challenging as they get.

I am not sure the designer- Gary Player wanted to make this particularly tough or because of the  limitation of terrain but either way the North course is posing too much of a challenge to average players despite the rough have trimmed been down (it was impossible to score well before) and it is off limits to high handicappers - those par 3s are just simply too scary!

Overall, the North course presents those who is fit and most important of all good enough to play, an excellent chance to home in their skill while low and mid handicappers will find more enjoyment on South.

Course Difficulty (blue Tee) , and 4 from white tee.
