The Annika is undoubtedly the easiest of the courses at MH. From the blue tees it measures less than 6000 yards, which is very short for a par 72 course, and is characterised by fairly generous fairways and large, inviting greens. Like the other 'new' courses at MH, the Annika also features quite large greenside bunkering but unlike say the Olazabal, the bunkers on the Annika aren't as deep.

Because of its location the course features significant changes in elevation (especially the front nine) which can make club selection tricky. The first few holes are also quite exposed so on windy days they can play a lot more difficult than perhaps they should.

Good drivers of the ball may fancy their chances on reaching a couple of the par 4s in one, and all of the par 5s in two but the course is not totally devoid of danger. Water comes into play on a number of holes and you can't always hit it 30 yards off line and expect to find it.

The Annika's signature hole is the 7th, (pictured above) a shortish par 3 that features some interesting rock outcrops by the side of the tee. The course is World No. 1 Annika Sorenstam's first design.

Not long so no need to go blazing away on every hole with the driver. Keep it straight enough and there's every reason you can beat your handicap. Better players should try the Olazabal or Norman courses for more of a challenge.
