Course Design

Unlike the World Cup, Vijay & Els courses,  I found Nick Faldo's baby a bit more interesting and fun to play.  The course layout is very simple and straight forward, "what you see is what you get"sort of design - no hidden or nasty traps, if you mess up you you can only blame yourself.

Due to it's shorter length (6,185 yards) from the blue tee, there are at least 2 or 3 three good short par 4s (# 3,5&15) that you could possibly reach in one ...or water, a good test of courage, length and accuracy.

There are also a couple of 'short' par 5s giving medium length players like me a realistic chance of getting an eagle putt.

Compared to World Cup and Vijay course, the fairways seem to be a little wider, with less influence of water and  more forgiving unless you are completely offline. Bunkers are the main feature of the course and there are some real beauties out there.

The only drawback on this course is that it's a 15 minute shuttle bus trip from the main Shenzhen Clubhouse so give yourself plenty of time to get there.

Overall, I feel this course is very user friendly and suitable for people with different playing levels.
