CITIC Chang Ping Golf Club

This course located at Dongguan area which is near to Chang Ping, only an hour drive from Shenzhen.
You may also take the direct train from HK to Dongguan station, then take a cab around 15 minutes.

I was told this clubhouse is for temporary only which is quite nice indeed. There are a reasonably good lobby, indoor and outdoor restaurant on second floor, a nice and clean changing room, proshop. This is originally designed for the driving range only. Good services from reception, locker room and restaurant. No complaint.

There are total 22 holes with 9 holes floodlit golfing.
I will consider this as a valley course. Designer spent a lot effort to scare you, some holes looks pretty tight, but infact, the landing area is a lot wider than you think. And in general, there are much room for errors, a slightly off track shot still can be recovered to lessen the damage. Don't get me wrong, the design is interesting and very enjoyable. The blue tee plays almost 6,600 yards which is considered a little long for amateurs, but the white is only slightly over 5,800 which is pretty short for today's standard.

All teebxoes, fairways and greens are in great shape, no complaint at all. Green are smooth and reasonably fast.

OK for me and my playing partners

It's been almost two years since my last visit. I'm impressed that the course is getting a lot mature than I think together with the nice gardening. Course is in good shape. The green keeper still doing a good job.
The course design is fair and reasonable. I found the difficulty of play is just right for amatuers like me. Very enjoyable indeed. Most greens are quite tricky, 3 putts are not difficult to happen.

To sum up, this is a good course, worth to play . Ace 7/2011
