Getting there

Continental Airline flies direct flight twice weekly to Guam from Hong Kong. Flying time around 4.5 hours
The first club I visited is this inspiring Mangilao Golf Club. The mother Japanese company Onward group also owned another golf club and a beach resort.
This oceanview course(the only one in Guam) charges the highest green fee amongst other golf clubsonly entertain Japanese golfers in the past. Luckily they changed the policy recently and welcome all golfers from the other part of the world.

Club shuttle available to and from most hotels, approximately takes 25 mins ride.

Facilities

Once you get into the mid size clubhouse, you'll see the reception and proshop. Through the corridor, changing room on the left . Safe is available to keep you diamonds and gold : )
When you proceed, there is a function room and waiting lounge before you heading down to the awesome seaview restaurant on the lower floor. If you don't fancy aircon, checkout is open area, breathtaking, isn't it？
Buggy are equipped with ball and clubs cleaner. The newly installed GPS system will definitely draw your attention. English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean language are available. Mind you, the distance shows is only for reference because you can only drive on carpath. Playing tips can be found , you can also input your score, order food and drinks from that machine. They will send your food to you. Time your pace and call the reception anytime you like.

The Golf

Front nine is comparitively flat features with wider fairways, less carry require and less OB opportunities. Back nine heading towards the coastline with more elevation change. Fairways are tighter in general. Reasonably long carry distance is needed. Two signature hole #12 & #13 offer picturesque scenery. Devil hole #12 test your distance and precision. Not much room of error from the tiny island green. Hole #11 is also very interesting.

Blue tee measured over 6600 yards Not that easy if you ain't big hitters, not a bad idea pull back to the white.

Maintainence

Very well maintained. You may see a bit brownish from the pictures but it doesn't affect playing. According to Joe, the club's Manager - This is happened because soil protection procedure is undergoing to avoid fungus and disease. Will back to shiny and green in couple of weeks.
No doubt, absolutely first class green condition. Fast, soft, smooth and true running.

Impressive! The gorgeous seaview is second to none, just as brilliant as the famous Nirwana GC in Bali and Ria Bintan GC in Bintan.
Interesting course layout, very good condition, excellent greens, natural scenery make this course very enjoyable to play with. And, if you can conquer the devil hole #12 --- One on, the club will present you a certificate for souvenir.
Rarely seen in China, these Banyan trees are everywhere.

This course definitely deserve for an Ace 。04/07
