My trip to Vietnam has taken me to 2 very nice golf courses Long Thanh, Vietnam Golf Club, and my last round in Ho Chi Minh is at Dong Nai Golf Resort which, at 50km away from the city centre, is the furthest away out of the 3. Due to heavy traffic, the journey took almost 2 hours.

The club has 27 holes as A , B & C -scorecard and I played the B & C course which measure 6,557 yards from the blue tee. You can immediately notice the peaceful & very quiet surrounding the moment you step on the first tee, ; huge & beautiful tress lined up either side of the fairway. While I was playing, I did not see any golfers on the course, so I had the whole course on my own...very nice indeed. Actually, this course is quite tough to play due to abundant amount of water hazards, tight & winding fairways. You have got to concentrate & play every shot very carefully to navigate your way through the course.

The deco of the club is only so so, the restaurant、locker 1 & 2 、driving range and starter are all fairly basic.

As mentioned, this course is further away than the others and the conditioning of the course can be better. However, the surroundings are very nice and the layout of the course is interesting & challenging. If you have time, give it a try. .Birdie 9/07
