This is the latest addition of new golf course & situated at the north side of Huizhou city, both the golf club & the hotel is managed by the Intercontinental Group, this is an 18 hole golf course, in fact, the first 9 was built at he end of 2009 by an unknown designer while the back 9 was designed by Mr Liang & also slightly modified part of the front 9.

From Shenzhen, it will take about 2 hours to get there, golfers from HK may take a direct shuttle bus operated by Wing Tung Coach or hire a licensed car or MPV from 007.

The club is nicely & tastefully decorated with Chinese traditional design, however, the club is still under some construction with only locker & sitting area available, the proshop & restaurant is being renovated, golfers are required to use the hotel facilities for the time being.

The courses has quite a few undulations throughout with gentle up & down slopes, some fairways are generous while others are very challenging with tight landing area, the variety of the design, the placing of hazards, bunkers are all reasonable (is there such a thing ?)& the size of the greens & undulations, making it fun to play.

The older 9 holes have matured already while the new 9 are still under some sort of maintenance, some it was a bit slow at the time we played........ 2011/4

My caddie has been with the club for a year & very knowledgeable with the course.

The new 9 holes will need another few months to mature but the maintenance was reasonably good and the course is very playable now, with careful & diligent management, I am sure this will be a great course.

Unfortunately, the courses is a bit out of the way from HK golfers, so I suggest you'd better take a couple of days off, enjoy the hot spring & stay with the beautiful Intercontinental hotel & play 2 rounds instead.
