This famous course has gained a well reputation and just rated No 7 Best Courses in Asia by Asian Golf Monthly.
From Bangkok Airport, we took approximately 2 hours 45 mins and arrived one of her two sister resort - Springfield Beach Resort. From there, we took another 15 mins ride to the Golf Club. Another Resort - Springfield Village Resort is just located next to the golf course.

Close to perfect. Fairways are in good shape and greens rolled well.

The course is built on a flat terrain. The interesting comes from the well place bunkers, water hazards, doglegs and a couple of semi island greens. Fairways considered to be fairly generous. Like most Nicklaus courses, greens are usually protected by huge bunkers. By the way, some of them are enormous which means if you land on the other side of the green, putting could be very nasty.

This 27 holes course made up by 3 nines holes Mountain, Lake and Valley course. The setup are more likely to be a resort course with reasonably forgiving fairways and recoverable rough. The maintenance is excellent. Scenery is also great with mature, dense big trees, you won't find lamp post nor villas within your sight.
This Tree caught my attention and believed it has been worshipped by local people.
Unlike many other Thailand's courses, speed of play in here is very impressive. Marshals are everywhere and prepare to "advise" slow players to keep the pace.

Springfield Beach Resort is where we stayed. Not luxury but good atmosphere and comfortable. Get a cab from the reception and it costs Baht 350 per way to or from downtown Huahin (around 20 mins). Or you may take a "taxi" on your journey. Noted that there ain't meter taxi, negotiate the price pop in to the cab, Usaully between Baht200-250 per way. Some "taxi" can even take up to 8 persons.
Huahin City isn't that big and not even close to Pattaya or Phuket city. A peaceful land ideally for relaxing.
If you are looking for a better hotel to stay, you won't be disappointed. Big names like Sofitel, Marriott, Hyatt, Dusit are scattered around the city.
